Treating the Series of STEM Couples

STEM images are often collected in big series. Then, loading indivudual images into STEMCorrector and filtering them onto the original and rotated orientations is too boring. You can however assign them the standard names and then load and treat all images as one package.

Loading the series is essentially same as loading an individual pair. In 'project', just change the type to 'series' and press LOAD. Then select the folder where your image series is store and choose ANY image from there.

All STEM images in the folder will be loaded at once and placed at the correct, left or right, windows. You can scroll among images in the series by clicking the arrow (up and down) buttons and apply all correction steps to each individual couple.

Finally, it is recommended to save the series by pressing the Save button in the project panel. You can anytime open the series later and continue processing.

Import settings

The standard names must not be necceseraly "O" and "R". You may change it via Menu:

Menu Setting → Import → series → name left / name right.

You can quickly recall the current convention by clicking Menu About → Series folder

The sequential number and underscore between it and the core name is however hardcoded convention and cannot be changed.

It is important to keep these setting in accordance to your actual notation of the acquired series.

You can make life even easier by using the open-source codes that allows effort free acquisition of the original/rotated couples of STEM images and storing them under the standard names. See, for instance
